2024 Fairy Trail Walk Criteria and Rules
We welcome youth and adult artists to create lighted fairy houses or fairy-themed art works to line the path of the Fairy Trail Walk. There are no size or material restrictions on the house, but if it’s larger than 12″x12″x12″ please request approval via the application form.
The Fairy Trail Walk will be held at Muriel Hepner Park across from Valleyview Middle School. The walk will progress on the paved loop around the pond. All participants are required to set up their own houses or works. After the walk, the houses will be displayed at the Denville Public Library. All other participants are responsible for removing their own works.
Artists that create fairy houses will place them on the ground along the paved loop around the pond. Store bought items are acceptable for youth artists, as long as they have been transformed in some way. Battery-operated lights are required.
Artists that create an approved fairy-themed piece of art may display their works on the ground or hung along the paved loop around the pond. Stands or posts to hang items from are acceptable, just note that the artist is responsible for the security of the installation and the Denville Arts Council cannot be held liable for any damage. Battery-operated lights are required.
A $10 non-refundable fee is due with the application. This can be paid with a credit card, online only. Youth ages 18 and under can participate for free. If you require approval for your concept it will be determined within a week of application submission.
Artists may choose to list their works for sale for a price they determine. The Denville Arts Council will publicize the works on site and after the event and in return requires a 10% cut of the sale if made.
In the event you register but find that you cannot be here to exhibit, please inform us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each participant is responsible for their own business/personal liability insurance to cover any loss, damage, liability or injury at the Fairy Trail Walk. Participants waive any and all claims against Denville Arts Council and its venue partners.
WEATHER RELATED ISSUES
Mist, fog or intermittent rain will not result in postponement of the market. If the forecast is for heavy rain and/or thunderstorms for the day, the event will be held on its rain date. We will post the info on DAC website, Facebook, and Instagram, and we will email participants as well.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES/REGULATIONS WILL RESULT IN DISMISSAL AND WILL FORFEIT FUTURE PARTICIPATION. Rules are subject to change.
